A clevedon boy had a lucky escape after falling 10ft onto rocks near the pier on Tuesday evening. The 12-year-old was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital at 9.30pm in a helicopter from RAF Chivenor, Devon, with suspected spinal injuries but was allowed home later the same evening with only minor bruising.
