Hagioscope or Squint in Beaminster Church - Dorset 31.8.08
There are two things on this video. There is the 'hole in the wall' which allows for the congregation seeing the priest raising the 'host'. And then there is the stairway up to the top of the 'rood screen'. However, in Beaminster Church the stairways leads to the place where the previous rood screen stood. The congregation from a Team Service was in the background just chatting. Apologies - The noise has been exagerated by my camera.
