Local favourite Jim McTaggart pilots his Stolp SA-300 Starduster Too G-JIII overhead today. An experienced pilot with over 500 hours of flying time who has even worked in Texas,USA, as a flight instructor and crop sprayer, Jim bases his starduster at a privately owned airstrip at Archerfield Estate in East Lothian.
The Starduster Too is a home built kit plane designed in the 1960's by private pilot Lou Stolp. Clearly inspired by the many classic biplanes of the 1930's, elegance was combined with modern technical expertise and ideas to create a sporty aircraft with outstanding handling this is, above all else, great fun for the pilot to fly.
