Note: Due to YouTube's near complete inability to deal with high-quality MPEG2 files, I have been forced to upload this as MPEG1. To those who like to watch the high quality versions, I am truly sorry, but I cannot go on like this, trying to upload a video two, three, even four times without success. I shall look at finding a way to make the high quality versions of my videos available on the internet, perhaps I will start my own website or something. On the return leg of the SRPS Edinburgh and Fife Circle railtour, we emerge from the tunnel at North Queensferry, pass through the station, and cross over the famous 118-year old railway bridge. From the bridge one can see the towns of North and South Queensferry, the adjacent Forth Road Bridge, and the Firth of Forth itself. The rail bridge is currently festooned with much scaffolding and coverings, due to ongoing repainting work. Originally supposed to be complete by March 2009, it is now slated to last until 2012. By which time it will probably need repainting again. The steam engine at the head of the train is a Gresley K4 2-6-0, No.61994 "The Great Marquess". http://www.lner.info/locos/K/k4.shtml http://www.srps.org.uk http://www.railbrit.co.uk/Forth_Bridge_Railway/frame.htm Filmed: Sunday 18th May 2008. Camera: Panasonic VDR-D310 w/ Hama UV filter.
