Dratted camera playing up meant I missed the REALLY hellfire part of the departure from Fort William. It was simply immense. Headed on up the train to find a window and the first one was at the 1st class end of the kitchen car. No one seemed to bother so I went for it. The highlights on this part being the run through Monessie Gorge and the departure from Tulloch. Even though on the other side of the train, I was just in the right place to get the full effects (would love to see some of the pics the photographers you can see by the line got as they were just in the right place too). We then run by the side of Loch Treig and up onto Rannoch Moor (no Deer unfortunately - the poor things were probably scared stiff to be honest)
