Le Raj has been generously contributing to local charities in various ways, including annual charity dinners, recently auction dinner for a table of six at Le Raj went for a record of £10,000 at Debra Foundation Charity event at Queen Stand, Epsom Downs in November 2006 -- a living testimony to the excellence of our cuisine.
We have been pioneers in the spice restaurant industry from the outset. We have shown the way forward, and others have followed. Now, though, we are gaining recognition that we are not simply an excellent curry restaurant, but an excellent restaurant full stop! Our guests come not because they want a 'good curry' but because they want 'good food'. We have moved from being judged against restaurants of the same type to being compared with the best restaurants of all cuisines in the UK. This is an important achievement.
